2011: 21 cases against Malta in European Court of Human Rights
The report for 2011 of the European Court of Human Rights (ECHR) based in Strasbourg says that last year there were applications for 21 cases against Malta. Six were declared inadmissible or struck out. There were 13 applications in which judgments were delivered.

The Environmental Performance Index published by Yale Centre for Environmental Law and Policy of Yale University together with The Centre For International Earth Science Information Network of Columbia University in collaboration with the World Economic Forum features Malta in the 87th place together with other countries like Gabon, Zambia and Belarus.
